Merry Christmas

Mrs Dilo and I fly to England in a few hours time and, assuming the place hasn't become entirely snow-bound by the time we're due to land, will be having a well-earned rest with family and friends until 27th December. I'm not sure how much blogging I will be getting up to during this period. I wish you all a merry Christmas/Hannakah/Winter Solstice/etc. Carol singing is a big part of Crimbo here in Romania; here's the popular side of this tradition, first the soppy faced Fuego, then Mahala Raï Banda with their (I suspect) more pragmatically minded anthem about the business of carol singing. Have a good one!

  1. A haunting tune, but is it right for an English Christmas? You'd better listen to 'Merry Xmas Everybody' by Slade to get in the right mood, which has now been translated into Welsh.

  6. Have a fabulous time over here and enjoy all the snow has to offer. Traffic jams, slippy pavements, cancelled trains and the like. It's all part of the rich tapestry of life.

  7. I have traditional Lithuanian Christmas with relatives - take Kucios which must be NO meat. Is a little dull but maybe I slip into garage and try some new electrodes in my TIG welder.
May all your joints be crack-free in 2010.

  10. Bananas, thanks for that link - it had to happen sooner or later!

Scarley, hmm, thanks, tempted... so where are you living now??

lools, no arrived just after the snow, and we had to arrive somewhere else for that very reason :-(

Kevo, it was quite cool, though we failed to do any sledging, which was an opportunity missed.

Ana, I'm replete with figgy pudding, I hope you had a good holiday too.

Madame, yep, it took us 2 hours to drive the last the 3 miles when coming back to Hertfordshire on evening of 21st!

Alice, you got some new electrodes for your TIG welder? Lucky you, but I wouldn't like to see the electric bills for the Scradcza household this December!

The Jules, that's right, stealing our christmas presents, spanking our women, etc.

Brit, thanks; they were, briefly, but I'll be back at the office today.

    Garth, right, absolutely.

    Boyo, Різдвяний, old son.
